Our laboratory is accredited by ema (Accreditation No. MM-0946 147/18, valid from April 19, 2018) and approved by CONAGUA (Approval No. B00.4.05.-106 valid from December 11, 2025).

Our authorized signatories possess a high degree of competence and technical, operational capacity within the laboratory, which guarantees accurate and truthful results.

Laboratory Scope

The standards and norms covered by our tests are as follows:

Official Mexican Standard NOM-012-CONAGUA-2021 "Faucets, valves and accessories for drinking water plumbing installations"

Official Standard NOM-008-CONAGUA-1998 "Showerheads used for personal hygiene - Specifications and test methods"

Standard NMX-C-415-ONNCCE-2015 "Valves and water faucets - Specifications and test methods"

Test Bench

Method 1

Connection thread measurement

We verify the showerhead connection threads with a caliper. There are 2 types of threads: NPT tapered thread, 5 threads (+-1) NPSM straight thread that passes all threads, without thread restriction.

Method 2

Installation tightening torque

We ensure that the showerhead connection has enough resistance so it does not break or create a crack that allows a leak in the showerhead.

Method 3

Maintenance access

The showerhead must allow maintenance cleaning to remove lime buildup or other impurities. For this, the showerhead must have an access mechanism to its interior.

Method 4

Flow rate determination

The showerhead must have a flow rate no greater and no less than 4-10 Lt/min. If it is ecological grade, it must have a flow rate no greater than 3.8 Lt/min per minute.

Method 5

Spray pattern efficiency

The spray pattern of a showerhead must remain within 42 cm in diameter.

Method 6

The device must allow a constant water flow to verify that the shut-off valves remain open.

Method 7

Aging of gaskets or seals

The showerhead gaskets will be exposed to temperatures no higher than 70 C to verify that they do not expand or shrink causing leaks in the showerhead.

Method 8

Hydraulic pressure resistance

The showerhead must withstand the water pressure indicated by the classification table for 10 minutes High (9 kg/cm2), medium (6 kg/cm2), low (3 kg/cm2)

Method 9

Working temperature resistance

The showerhead must withstand a temperature of 82 C* at its maximum working pressure for 30 minutes.

Method 10

Distributor cover removal

The screws that make up the distributor cover must withstand at least 50 in-and-out cycles, the goal is that they do not strip.

Method 11

Mobile joint durability

The mobile joint must withstand 10,000 point-to-point movement cycles without failures.

Method 12

Corrosion resistance

The showerhead must undergo 96 hours of salt spray exposure. Simulating 2 years of operation at sea level. It must not present corrosion, material detachment or bubbles. Having 10% affectation.
